Biodynamic wines are made in connection with the environment. This means that they are certified organic wines and that their rules of production go beyond “bio”. On a philosophical level, in the growth of vine plants, specific attention is paid to the territory, and to its resources, Farmers also arrive to promote the concepts of “energy” and lunar phases. On a practical level, the use of tractors is reduced to a minimum, the use of chemical products is banned, and the sowing of green manure is limited.

There are 21 biodynamic wines in Tuscany, according to Demeter certifications, but there are indeed many other wineries that use similar regulations without writing them on the labels.
